Services

7 Lazy P Outfitting, LLC provides all the services, gear, and equipment necessary for a fully-guided hunt. Guided hunts are offered as a 2 hunters:1 guide unless other arrangements have been made.

Hunter Provides

A Montana hunting license must be obtained from Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks.( Information is available at www.fwp.mt.gov or 406-444-2950.) We will provide assistance in the licensing process.

Refunds/Cancellations

In the event that you are unsuccessful in obtaining a Montana hunting license through the computerized drawing and through no fault of your own, 100% of your hunt deposit will be credited toward a hunt for the next year OR your hunt deposit will be refunded less a 10% handling fee. No refunds will be made due to cancellations as it is nearly impossible to fill openings created by cancellations. You may want to consider trip insurance to protect your investment. Global Rescue and Signature Travel Insurance are recommended and are offered through the Montana Outfitters and Guides Association, https://www.montanaoutfitters.org/travelersinsurance/ .

Hunter Weight Policy

Any hunts that utilize stock often require many miles of travel over potentially difficult terrain. For the safety of the client and the humane treatment of our stock, 7 Lazy P Outfitting, LLC reserves the right to refuse service to clients weighing in excess of 250#. Clients that exceed this weight limit are encouraged to book a lodge-based hunt.

Hunting Ethics

Hunting wild game on their own terms is truly a privilege. Big game species are a precious and finite resource. The hunter should fully prepare him/herself to safely and effectively handle their firearm or bow to make a clean, terminal shot when pursuing big game. 7 Lazy P Outfitting, LLC fully understands that every hunting situation is unique. If, through obvious observation, or in the opinion of the guide, an animal is determined to be wounded, every possible effort will be made to recover the wounded animal. In the event that an animal is not recovered, that animal is considered yours, and you will not be allowed to shoot another animal of that same species during that hunt or any following hunts for that year with 7 Lazy P Outfitting, LLC.

Firearms, Marksmanship and safety

Poor marksmanship has become a greater issue than it should be. You should consider yourself very fortunate to have a shot opportunity. They seldom come around twice on a hunt. A missed shot is not only depressing for yourself, but frustrating to your guide who may have just pulled off a tremendous effort to get an animal in front of you. You have got to shoot as many rounds as possible from field positions and various ranges.  I know that is easier said than done for some of you depending on where you live and what facilities are available to you.

Taxidermy/Meat Processing

7 Lazy P Outfitting, LLC will deliver your game to a local processor and/or taxidermist. The cost of these items is the responsibility of the hunter.

Alcohol Policy

Moderate consumption of alcoholic beverages is allowed. 7 Lazy P Outfitting, LLC offers no alcohol for sale. Libations are the responsibility of the client. Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. 7 Lazy P Outfitting, LLC may terminate an individual’s hunt and remove them from the premises if inappropriate behavior, including vulgar language, become disruptive to the camp and others. If you choose to bring alcohol, bring canned beer, boxed wine, or liquor in a plastic container.
