Bob Marshall Pack Trips: Get A Taste Through The Sampler

7 Lazy P Outfitting offers a variety of Bob Marshall pack trips. The Bob Marshall Sampler is one of our easier summer pack trips. Our professional guides and crew will take you over Route Creek Pass and down to our established camp at Wrangle Creek.  Base out of our Wrong Creek camp, one of our designated camps in the Helena-Lewis & Clark Forest.  A very comfortable camp with a cook tent, corral, fire pit and extra camp amenities. Day rides, fishing, and hikes will fill the days, each night coming back to the main camp.  A great way to get a taste of the Bob!

Check out the Bob Marshall Sampler trip details below, but if you are wanting something else, then be sure to explore our other summer trips.

Depart 7 Lazy P guest ranch, riding up the Middle Fork of the Teton and over 7,200' Route Creek Pass into the North Fork Sun River drainage. We will descend down into the valley to our camp on Wrangle Creek. Total: 13 miles and about 4.5 to 5 hours riding time

Layover day. Enjoy fishing on the nearby Sun River or take a hike. There is a hike for any level from short and easy to more challenging, like a climb up Wapati Ridge or an all day hike to the top of Wrong Ridge. The views are incredible. Crew members are always available to accompany guests for river fishing or on any of the hikes. Guests are also free to go on their own, if they choose.

Layover day. If you are an avid fisherman you might want to hit the Sun River for another of fishing. Hike up Wapiti Ridge or Wrong Ridge. Take a ride to Gates Park. Stay in camp and relax or go for a walk.

Up and at em! After breakfast, we pack up and head back out over Route Creek Pass and arrive back at the 7 Lazy P Guest Ranch. We are greeted with refreshments as we put stock away and unpack gear. You will be put up in a cabin and we will all have dinner together and reminisce about the trip.

Guests depart the lodge mid-morning.
