Welcome to the 7 Lazy P! We’re your hosts, Dusty & Danelle Crary, owners/operators of 7 Lazy P Outfitting. Our family & amazing crew want to invite you to join us for an incredible adventure to experience Montana’s 1.5 million acre Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex, the flagship of America’s wilderness systems.
We know you have many options for a trip like this. We appreciate your patronage and want to make sure that you have a safe, rewarding and memorable trip. We feel the critical elements to any successful wilderness pack trip are experience, preparation and attention to details. But it always begins and ends with exceptional people and a great string of horses and mules.
Dedicated to the traditional skills of packing, camp cooking, and backcountry camp craft, the 7 lazy P crew will work hard to make sure your trip is enjoyable. Enjoy wonderful meals prepared with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. (We even raise our own grass fed and finished beef). Are you up for a hike? We are too, and we would love to show you more of this incredible landscape. Want to try fly fishing for the first time? We’d be glad to help with that. We can even provide basic instruction and set you up with the gear. Whether it’s pouring you a steaming cup of coffee on a frosty morning, or sharing stories and local history around the fire, the 7 lazy P crew are there for you and they are as personable as they are talented.
Our pack and riding stock is the absolute foundation of everything we do. Nothing happens without them. We invest heavily in our stock with time, money, and most importantly knowledge. Dusty & Danelle have long been avid students of horsemanship and we nurture this philosophy with everyone on the team. We raise or purchase as weanlings most of our horses and mules. This makes for a slower process before an animal is on the trail full time, but the results are superior when you take the time to develop young stock and integrate them into the herd. Nothing pleases us more than the compliments we get on our stocks temperament and condition and we think you will agree that it is time well spent.
